Defence shorthand used in this interface, in plain English. Under Industrial or Civilian operating context, these labels are automatically replaced with civil-sector equivalents.
- M.A.R.C.H. —
- Massive haemorrhage, Airway, Respiration, Circulation, Head/Hypothermia. The order in which battlefield casualties are treated, worst-first.
- Z-MIST —
- A structured casualty handover: what happened (Mechanism), the Injury, Signs, and Treatment given. Handed to whoever receives the patient.
- 9-Liner CASEVAC —
- A nine-field radio request for casualty evacuation — location, callsign, urgency, patient count, and so on. Fixed format so it can be read under pressure.
- J1 / NOTICAS —
- Notification of Casualty. The personnel-branch report that formally records a casualty and their severity category.
- CoT / ATAK —
- Cursor-on-Target, the open message format used by the ATAK situational-awareness app. Exporting CoT lets Swordstone feed position data into command systems already in service.
- TBI, HLB, LLB —
- Traumatic Brain Injury. High-Level Blast is a single severe event; Low-Level Blast is repeated low-grade exposure accumulated over a career. Tracked separately because the research treats them differently.
- SpO2 —
- Blood oxygen saturation, as a percentage. Falls at altitude; below roughly 90% indicates hypoxia.
- CIP / COP —
- Common Intelligence/Operating Picture — one shared map that everyone in the operation is working from.
- Data Review —
- Named for what the page actually does: reviews an asset's recorded biometric, environmental, and incident data, not just a narrative of actions taken. Formerly labelled “AAR”; exports remain After Action Review-compatible for units that require that specific doctrinal artifact.
- Human Factors Database —
- Each person's physiological baseline, so alert thresholds are set against that individual rather than a population average.
- P43 / P45 —
- Night-vision phosphor types: P43 is the classic green, P45 the newer white. The display can match whichever the user's optics use, to preserve dark adaptation.
- COTS —
- Commercial Off-The-Shelf. Hardware you can simply buy, rather than commission — the basis of this MVP's sensor layer.
Procurement brand names shown only in the defence variant, mapped to the same functional engine underneath. Primary labels and controls stay functional in both variants; these are additive, not replacements.
- GUARDIAN —
- Global Unified Asset Readiness & Data Integration Node. Defence name for the Geospatial CIP (Theatre Overview).
- ANGEL —
- Agentic Next Generation Evacuation Link. Defence name for the Incident Dashboard and its M.A.R.C.H./9-Liner workflow.
Live in this build: CoT XML export, the Interop Bundle JSON export, SHA-256 export hashing, threshold provenance,
GeoJSON overlay import, all filtering, session export/import, and every calculation in the Predictive Model Engine. Simulated
and clearly labelled: biometric telemetry, the thermal map layer, LiDAR point-cloud previews, and Validation Bench
readings. Not yet built: live sensor ingestion and the live interop webhook, which are Phase 1 of the CTO roadmap.
Two items are deliberately represented as open questions rather than solved ones. Data residency:
the System settings panel lets a session record which jurisdiction's rules apply, but no per-tenant hosting
infrastructure exists yet to enforce that — recording the decision is real, enforcing it is not.
Export control: Swordstone's dual-use classification has not been reviewed
by counsel. That is a legal action item, not a software feature, and nothing in this interface should
be read as implying it has been resolved.
